General Embroidery Pricing
The following pricing is a general guide for a single embroidered design in one location. Each design and location requires a one time fee to convert the design into file that the machines can read for stitch placement. That process is called digitizing and typically costs $35 per design up to 10k stitches. Digitizing larger designs will be priced by total stitch count (+$3.00 per 1000k stitches over 10k).
Note: The average design on a hat or the left chest of a polo shirt is usually less than 10k stitches as a reference.

Embroidery Limitations & Best Practices
At Foxtree Designs, we take great care in ensuring your embroidered logos look crisp, clean, and professional. However, embroidery has physical limitations that may require adjustments to your design. Below are some key factors that can impact the final result.
Text Size & Legibility
- To maintain clarity, any text in an embroidered design must be at least 0.25 inches tall. Text smaller than this can become unreadable due to the way stitches are placed.
- If a logo contains small lettering that falls below this threshold, we may need to increase the size of the text or simplify details to ensure readability.
Design Simplification & Adjustments
- Embroidery works best with bold, well-defined elements. Fine details, thin lines, or intricate patterns may not stitch cleanly and can result in a less polished look.
- If a design contains elements that are too small or complex, we will suggest modifications to improve clarity, such as increasing the size of key details, simplifying shapes, or adjusting spacing.
Logo Sizing for Best Results
- Standard left chest logos are 3.5 inches wide, with a maximum width of 4.5 inches for more rectangular designs.
- For tall logos, the height can be pushed up to 4.5 inches to maintain proper proportions.
Color Considerations
- Embroidery thread is not the same as printed ink—color gradients, fades, and very fine details do not translate well into stitching.
- We recommend using solid colors with high contrast for the best results. Designs that rely on shading or intricate details may need to be simplified.
